A Belgian Summer, Circa 1995

A little nostalgia, a little attitude, and the understated elegance of Belgian fashion in the 1990s. For Belgian label Charlotte Beaude's Summer 2022 lookbook, photographed by Uyen Saint-Tran, the inspiration came from an era of effortless sophistication, playful styling and quiet confidence.

Between silk scarves, tailored silhouettes, pastel colours and statement accessories, the editorial revisits the codes of 90s fashion through a contemporary lens. There's something deliberately nonchalant about the way the models carry themselves, balancing polished elegance with a sense of spontaneity.

The series plays with the relationship between fashion and personality, where accessories become more than finishing touches. A scarf, a handbag or a particular gesture can suggest an entire character, bringing a subtle cinematic quality to the imagery.
